ELECTROLYSIS FAQ

Q.
Is electrolysis permanent?
A. Yes. All follicles properly treated will not grow another
hair.
Q.
Will there be any regrowth?
A. Each person is different. The texture and density of hair,
the amount of moisture in the skin and the degree to which the follicle
has been distorted from tweezing and waxing will all be factors.
Regrowth is often confused with new hairs growing as a result of
hormonal changes.
Q.
Is electrolysis painful?
A. Pain levels vary from individual to individual. What you
will feel is a little warmth. The warmer it is, the more effective
the treatment will be. You are in the driver's seat. Topical anaesthetics
are available and are extremely effective.
Q.
Are there any after effects?
A. Occasionally a slight redness of the skin occurs during
or immediately after a treatment, but this will only last a short
time. You will be given home care instructions to help your skin
return to normal.
Q.
How many treatments are required?
A. The number of treatments depends on each individual. The
area being treated, the skin's sensitivity and what methods of hair
removal have been used in the past are all factors that must be
considered.
